FEEDBACK SURVEY: We analyzed the results and were glad to see some great feedback and suggestions. With those responses in mind we will work this year to include:
- Clear course marking and mile markers as often as possible
- A course that is challenging, but not too tough
- Lower prices on snowshoe rentals
- As much value as we can offer!
AND THAT'S A WRAP!
BIG HUGE THANKS to those that made this race series possible by donations of time, energy, money or goods:
The Friends of Donald Park, Fontana Sports, Powerbar,Westgate Hy-Vee, Madison, GO>ID, Atlas Snowshoes, Race Day Events, Griessmeyer Law, Mark Hering, and Laura Arendt
This was the first year for you to snowshoe race in the Madison area! The 4 event series held races every Sunday in January each including a 1 mile fun run/walk, a 5k and 10k options. We had one *BONUS* Snowshoe race around the Capitol Square as part of the Madison Winter Festival. Snowshoe Scurry on the Square consisted of a 3k race: Solo or relay of 3 and included CASH PRIZES for winners of each category!
We grew in numbers each week and are excited about the growing momentum of snowshoeing in our area! We were able to donate $300 to Racers Against Childhood Cancer and $285 to the Friends of Dane County Parks Endowment Fund.

Race 2 RESULTS!
It was our first go at Donald Park, and we were happy to get a sunny day and a hilly course! The wind picked up as the race went, but the snow conditions were perfect for running...nice and packed down. It was our first shot at digital timing and it made it much easier! Check out your results:
We also had a camera and were able to capture some great shots of the race! See if you star in any of the photos :)
Race 1 RESULTS!
Congrats to all participants to completing the race in VERY cold conditions!
